I love the way all of the layers on the pine cone come together so that you get this simple object. The cone represents people in a way... All of the different layers of our personality work together to make us the one unique being we show to the world each day. Each of us is multi-layered. Far too few of us expose all of the layers the way the cone does. Far too often I will judge based on what I see and I won't bother to go any deeper.
This year, I'm living with purpose. It sounds like a cliche, but I've never lived on purpose before! I'll be peeling back the layers in all of my relationships while also getting to know me a little better. I'm looking forward to living a deeper, richer life.
